The VOIP Engineer candidate plays a lead role in the maintenance and support of the Telephony Systems.
Provides specialized enterprise level project based support and management for the phone and video systems.
Designs and implements enhancements to the current systems.
Analyzes current enterprise and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning and design issues.
This is a key onsite position which requires the skills of a senior L3 engineer.
This position requires extensive collaboration with teammates, other Business units, IT management.
Work closely with Operations Manager
Creates status reports and accurately track/manage issues and risks
Maintain regular communication with management to update them on project status and critical fault resolution progress
Independently researches and resolves highly complex phone or video problems
Experience:
Experience in the design, development, and articulating solutions based on a customer's strategic business or technical requirements.
Experience in collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure engineered solutions are aligned to company standards
Must have 10+ of total experience with 5+ years’ experience configuring and supporting complex Cisco IPT solutions with Cisco Communications Manager, Unity Connection, and Presence Server, in an organization with multiple locations.
Demonstrated Experience configuring and troubleshooting Voice Gateways
Demonstrated Experience troubleshooting Cisco Routers and Switches.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong documentation skills including experience writing proposals and statements of work
